We are an experienced team that has been working in the commercial and industrial construction sector for over 40 years. We understand that each commercial and industrial building needs to be individually designed, to suit the customer's specific requirements. At MD Anthony in Ely, we can provide a full structural design service, or we can work from designs provided by the customer's third-party structural engineer. We cater to clients across East Anglia and the East Midlands.

A full and comprehensive range of cladding specifications can be provided including composite panels, fibre cement, steel cladding, and built-up twin-skin systems; all to comply with the new part L2a building regulations. COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL STEELWORK PROJECTS BY MD ANTHONY
BRECKLAND GROUP - UNIT 20 RASHS' GREEN
Construction – Structural steel frame to construct a portal frame building completed with a lean-to. Building is clad with panels of two different finishes to create a striking visual contrast. All work was designed to a specific brief provided by the client, which has remained consistent across a number of different projects at this site, creating a sleek and uniform appearance for the client.
Awards – Finalist in the Industrial and Production Category at the 2025 RIDBA Building Awards.
BRECKALND GROUP - UNIT 7 RASHS' GREEN
Construction – Steel portal frame, complete with Metsec cold rolled cladding rails and purlins. One of a number of buildings for the same client, designed specifically to contribute to a consistent and recognisable brand appearance.
OFFICES AND WAREHOUSE
Site: MD Anthony – Lingwood House, Ely, Cambridgeshire
Construction – Mono-pitched steel frame providing Office and Warehouse space.
Performance and Sustainability – The building boasts a high level of insulation performance consisting of Kingspan 120mm thick insulated core insulated panels with full PV covering to the roof; while the walls consist of a variety of styles of Kingspan 100mm thick insulated core Architectural wall panels.
Design – A Net-zero carbon rated building based on the concept of creating a modern and functional office and warehouse space providing an environmentally friendly building.
Awards – Overall winner and winner of the Office & Residential category in the 2021 RIDBA Building Awards
RESIDENTIAL CONSTRUCTION
Site: The Barns, Shouldham, Norfolk
Construction – Conversion of two derelict agricultural buildings into a new residential property complete with purpose designed steel trusses, Kingspan insulated roof cladding and purpose bent aluminium powder coated fascias, soffits, verges and valley flashings.
Performance and Sustainability – 137mm thick insulated composite panels were used for the roof to give an enhanced U-Value with air source heat pumps used to aid the overall accomplishment. Sustainable materials, in many cases locally sourced, have been used throughout.
Awards – Finalist in the 2019 RIDBA Building Awards.
