THE HISTORY OF MD ANTHONY
The business was started from the family farm in 1977 by Malcolm Anthony following a request from a fellow local farmer to design and build a small steel framed Dutch barn. From this early agricultural beginning, the company has gone from strength to strength, diversifying to cater for the commercial and industrial sectors and eventually moving to purpose-built premises in Ely in 1997 where the company remains to this day. James took control of the business in 2009 following the retirement of his father, and since then the business has continued to flourish under his leadership. Outside the business, James is heavily involved in industry developments, having previously served as chairman on the RIDBA board.
